If you would not like SwiftDisc Burning Wizard to connect and retrieve information from the online CD Database (freedb) automatically, you can modify the default settings. |
Steps to select tracks for ripping an Audio CD:
1. After inserting the Audio CD from which you would like to copy music, select the device where you inserted the media. Press the “Next” button.
2. The “Audio CD Tracks” screen shows the audio tracks on the disc in the selected drive. All audio tracks are selected by default. To make your own selection, uncheck the check box in front of any file. Then you can check the files to be included in the compilation.
Select at least one track by checking on the corresponding check box, or select multiple tracks using the mouse + pressed key "Shift" (for selecting sequential items) or +"Ctrl" (for non-sequential tracks).
You can also select and de-select all the tracks by using the buttons "Select All" and "Unselect All", respectively.
Track Visualization
If the Audio tracks on the CD have been recorded with additional information such as tracks names etc., it will be displayed on the screen. Otherwise, SwiftDisc Burning Wizard will try to connect the free online CD Database (freedb), by default, and retrieve information about the album and tracks.
- To disable online search, please read the section: Free DB Settings.
- To perform a new search, press the “Get CD Information” button.
Rename a track manually
- Double-click on the track name, select it and press the right mouse button, or
- Select the track name and press "F2" from the keyboard;
If no information is loaded and the track names have not been changed, the track names will display track titles like: "Track 03".
Track Information
The track meta data comprises of the name of the artist, song title, album title, number, type, play time, and the size of the uncompressed WAV file.
Below the tracks list, you can review information about the size of the audio files if ripped uncompressed and the free space available.
Change the track extension
Navigate to the “Audio CD Tracks“ screen to change track extension and format. For more information, please read the section: Selecting Output Format.
Change the Output Folder
If you would like to change the output folder, press the "Output Folder" button. Select a folder. Press the "Ok" button.
=> When you finish selecting the tracks to be saved to your computer, press the “Next” button.
