Overview

The Rip Audio CD project allows you to: 

 

- Save audio tracks from music CDs to the computer: 

 

- Copy audio tracks in the following formats: 

 

• Uncompressed (WAV) format (preserving the quality and size of the original media); 

• Compressed (WMA and OGG) format (taking up less space and more convenient for storing large collections on your hard drive); 

 

Before ripping an Audio Disc, please insert the disc to be ripped in the drive. 

 

Steps to rip an Audio CD: 

 

1. Start up SwiftDisc Burning Wizard. 

 

2. Choose section: Audio Project => option: Rip Audio CD. 

 

3. A list of devices available on the computer will be displayed. Check the box in front of the device from which you would like to copy the audio files. You can verify the information about the selected device, disc capacity and space available. Audio discs are usually closed, showing i.e. “0 Bytes available”. Press the “Next” button. 

 

Note: Ripping audio files is only possible from one device at a time. 

 

4. Choose the tracks to be saved to your computer. (All audio files are selected by default). Press the “Next” button. 

 

Additional: 

 

Set the names of the tracks 

 

- Manually; 

- Searching through Free CD Data Base: artist, album, and track information; 

 

Modify Output location 

 

Select an output folder where you would like to store the ripped files. For more information, please read the section: Selecting Tracks

 

5. Choose the multimedia format for saving your tracks using the radio button. For more information, please read the section: Selecting Output Format. 

 

6. Press the “Finish” button. For more information, please read the section: Writing The Files To Your Drive.
