Creating An Audio CD

The wizard page where you can add files to your project follows the same principle regardless of the project you perform.

The “Add Audio Files” screen is split into two parts. Use the Explorer Window on the top to navigate and locate the folders containing the files to be recorded as audio files. The window at the bottom contains the audio files to be written to the disc. Once you select the files, the toolbar between both windows ("Add" and "Remove" Files buttons) will be activated.

SwiftDisc Burning Wizard allows you to add additional information about the Audio CD. It will be saved as a CD text that can be read by some audio players. For information about adding audio files, please read the section: Adding Audio Tracks.

You can add a title, performer, song writer and other details for the album, as well as detailed information for each track included in the compilation.

SwiftDisc Burning Wizard allows you to configure the burning settings for your project.

In case you selected multiple devices (available only for the Premium Edition), you can access each device from the drop-down list at the top of the window.

Parameters:

Speed

Choose the recording speed from the "Recording speed" drop-down list. The recording speeds available depend on the drive capabilities and the media inserted in the drive.

Hint: We suggest that you select a lower-than-maximum speed.

Simulation

Check the "Simulate" check box to perform a simulated burn. Make sure that you have inserted the CD/DVD to be used for... more 

The “Advanced Burning Settings” screen allows you to set up the session type for the recording. It is an optional, additional screen. To activate it, check the “Edit Advanced Settings” check box on the “Burning Settings” screen and press the “Next” button.

Session Type:

The options "Session At Once" and "Track At Once" determine how the project will be recorded.

Note: "Disc At Once" and "Incremental" are the options available for DVD discs.

If the "Session At Once" (or "Disc At Once") option is selected, the entire project will be written at once without interruptions.

After the actual burning has been initiated, you will be directed to the "Progress screen". The burning process will take some time, depending on your hardware and the amount of data to be recorded. Please wait until the burning process is finished. Select a device to review the progress of burning on a particular disc, elapsed time, estimated time to complete the recording and the recorder buffer level. For further actions, choose an option depending on the device status, e.g., retry the recording/erase the disc.

Before initiating an Audio Disc recording, please insert a disc (CD) into the drive. 

 

Steps to creating an Audio Disc: 

 

1. Start up SwiftDisc Burning Wizard. 

 

2. Choose section: Audio Project => option: Burn Audio CD. 

 

3. A list of devices available on the computer will be displayed. There you can check the disk size and verify the disc space availability. Check the box in front of the device where you inserted the disc. 

 

Note: You can select multiple devices to burn multiple discs with same content and quality in the same session. 

 

Once you have selected the burning device(s), device information will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Press the “Next” button. 

 

4. The screen is split into two parts. Use the Explorer Window on the top to navigate and locate the folders containing the audio tracks to be recorded. The window at the bottom contains the files to be written to the disc.

5. If needed, add or edit the track information, such as the track names or album titles. For more information, please read the section: Editing Track Information. Press the “Next” button.
