The Burn DVD-Video projects allow you to create discs with video sequences playable on standalone DVD players.

Before making a Video DVD with SwiftDisc Burning Wizard, copy DVD files, or create the layout using a DVD Authoring package.

Steps to burn a DVD from a VIDEO_TS Folder:

1. Start up SwiftDisc Burning Wizard.

2. Choose section: Video Project => option: Burn VIDEO_TS Folder.

3. Select the drive where you inserted the DVD to be burned. You can verify the information about the selected device and disc space availability. Press the “Next” button.

Steps to select DVD Video files to be burned:

1. After selecting the device (devices for the Premium edition only) where you would like to burn your DVD-Video, insert the appropriately sized DVD disc. Press the "Next” button.

2. Browse for the pre-made DVD-Video folder.

Note: In order for stand-alone DVD players to recognize and play the DVD, they require a specific file structure - VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB, VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_0.VOB. Please make sure that DVD-Video files match the formats above and are saved in a single folder.

SwiftDisc Burning Wizard allows you to configure the burning settings for your project. In case you selected multiple devices (available only for the Premium edition), you can access each device from the drop-down list at the top of the window.

Parameters:

Speed

Choose the recording speed from the "Recording speed" drop-down list. The recording speeds available depend on the drive capabilities and the media inserted in the drive.

Hint: We suggest that you select a lower-than-maximum speed.

Simulation

Check the "Simulate" check box to perform a simulated burn. Make sure that you have inserted the DVD media into the drive... more 

The “Advanced Burning Settings” screen allows you to set up the session type for the recording. It is an optional, additional screen. To activate it, check the “Edit Advanced Settings” check box on the “Burning Settings” screen and press the “Next” button.

Session Type:

The options "Disc At Once" and "Incremental" determine how the project will be recorded.

Note: For some DVD types, only the "Incremental" option is available.

"Disc At Once"

If the "Disc At Once" option is selected, the entire project will be written at once without interruptions.

Hint: We highly recommend you to use "Disk At Once"... more

After the actual burning process has been initiated, you will be directed to the "Progress screen". The burning process will take some time depending on your hardware and the amount of DVD files to be recorded. Please wait until the burning process is finished. Burning DVD Video project allows you to create a DVD Video disc from DVD-Video files saved on your computer. This project burns DVD-Video files from a VIDEO_TS folder. To create the VIDEO_TS folder and corresponding files, you need to use a separate DVD authoring tool.
